The Stambaugh Chorus, under the direction of Dr. Hae-Jong Lee, is presenting it’s 73rd concert season this year. The Chorus membership is comprised of singers who donate their time and talent to benefit the organization and our community. Membership is available to anyone who loves to sing. The Youngstown Historical Center for Industry and Labor presents a photography exhibition by Richard Hahn titled Grit/Glow, opening Thursday, July 10, and on display through February. Grit/Glow juxtaposes the warmth of orange skies with the stark realities of industry, illustrating the paradox of beauty and hardship. The museum is open Wednesdays through Fridays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and on Saturdays from Noon to 4:00 pm.

The Butler Institute of American Art presents the exhibit Fred Staloff: Origins of a Modernist, from Sunday, September 7 through Sunday, Noveember 16. Fred Staloff, the distinguished New Jersey painter explores not only brilliant landscapes but also still lifes, portraits, and figurative works. More information at butlerart.com.

The Butler Institute of American Art presents an exhibition of works by acclaimed Cuban American artist Julio Larraz, opening September 14 and running through November 23 in the MacIntosh Gallery. This exhibition is in conjunction with National Hispanic Heritage Month. Larraz’s oil paintings are said to inhabit a realm where reality and imagination converge. His compositions often weave together satirical social commentary, poetic symbolism and art-historical allusions. More information at butlerart.com
The Youngstown Branch of the American Association of University Women will meet on Saturday, November 1, at 11:00 am, at the Boardman Library, 7680 Glenwood Avenue. Lisa Lee Kohler and Kathie Gaige of the League of Women Voters of Greater Youngstown will present a program on the current priorities of the League of Women Voters US, an update on Redistricting in Ohio, and changes under consideration in state and national voting laws that would disproportionately impact women.

The First Unitarian Church at Wick Park in Youngstown presents an intriguing evening of dance, music, and poetry that explores constellations — the connections between love, loss, and the power of resilience. The performance takes place on Saturday, November 1st, with a wine reception at 6:30, and the performance at 7:30 pm.

The YSU Dana School of Music presents the YSU Side-by-Side Concert, on Sunday, November 2, at 7:00 pm, at Stambaugh Auditorium, on Fifth Avenue, in Youngstown. High school students will have the opportunity to interact with YSU Wind Ensemble student musicians and faculty artists, working collaboratively to prepare a concert.
